Our Beliefs

We believe that the Lord God is One God. (Ephesians 4:5-6)

We believe that God is fully known as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (The Trinity).
(Matthew 28:19; 1 Thessalonians 1:1-5)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, is coequal to God, has always existed with God, and now reigns with God forevermore. (John 10:30, 33)

We believe that Jesus Christ was miraculously conceived, born in this world, lived, and died on the Cross for the sins of mankind, and rose from the dead on the third day. (Matthew 1:18-21; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

We believe that the sacrifice of Christ is sufficient for forgiveness of sins, no one can earn salvation, deserve salvation, and without faith in Christ no one is saved. (Acts 4:12; John 14:6)

We believe that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ – faith is best explained as putting one’s whole trust in Jesus’ death on the cross to pay our debt of sin. (Romans 3:22-26)

We believe that faith comes from hearing the Word of God, that the Word of God is inspired and is able to bring man into contact with God if read by faith. (Romans 10:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe that baptism by immersion is a sign of faith in Jesus Christ and is to be given to adult believers at the time of their conversion. We believe baptism represents the believer’s participation in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, their acceptance of Christ’s Lordship, the cleaning of sins, and admittance into Christ’s church. (Romans 6:1-7; Acts 2:36-39, Acts 22:16)

We believe that the church is the body of Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 4:4-5)

We believe in and seek unity with all those who profess faith in Christ Jesus, for Jesus prayed that his people would all be one. (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:3)
